SSC CGL 2018 Syllabus

The SSC CGL 2018 Exam pattern and SSC CGL 2018 Syllabus includes various subjects which are revealed step by step below.

  • Tier-I:- Written(Computer Based) Examination
  • Tier-II:- Written(Computer Based) Examination
  • Tier-III:- Descriptive(Pen and Paper Based) Test
  • Tier-IV:- Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (where applicable)/ Verification of Documents

 

SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern Tier wise

 

Tier-I Exam Pattern:

  • SSC CGL Tier-I Exam is a computer based online examination and the questions are of objective type.
  • There are total 100 questions which carry 200 marks and the total duration is 1hour.
  • There is also negative marking for each incorrect attempt. i.e if one will attempt a correct answer then he/she will get 2marks and if one attempts incorrect answer then he/she will get -0.50 marks.
  • The exam paper is distributed into 4 parts. i.e. General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & English Comprehensions.

Tier-II Exam Pattern:

  • SSC CGL Tier-II Exam is also a computer-based online examination and the questions are of objective type.
  • There are total 500 questions which carry 800 marks and the total duration is 2hour.
  • There is also negative marking for each incorrect attempt. One will get -0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt in English language and -0.50 marks for each incorrect attempt in the rest 3 subjects.
  • The exam paper is distributed into 4 parts. i.e. Quantitative Abilities, Statistics, General Studies (Finance and Economics) & English Language & Comprehension.

Tier-III Exam Pattern:

  • SSC CGL Tier-III Exam is pen and paper based offline examination and the questions are of descriptive type.
  • There are total 100 marks and the total duration is 1hour.
  • There is no section wise cut off.
  • After successfully qualifying for both tier-I and tier-II exam only one can appear for tier-III exam.

Tier-IV Exam Pattern:

SSC CGL Tier-IV Exam is the last phase. In this phase Skill test and document, verification occurs.
